The Problem
When Lakewood Business Park needed a brand new office space in the Lakewood, CO area, they were looking for two primary things.
- They needed the construction process to be as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
- They wanted the finished product to be aesthetically pleasing and able to accommodate their employees’ needs.
Rothwell was tasked with finding a solution that met both of these criteria. The new office space needed to be large enough to serve as both a warehouse and office space, which meant that the warehouse component would need substantial space. The aesthetics of the building were also important.
The Solution
Rothwell Construction crafted a plan that met Lakewood Business Park’s needs for its new campus. With building construction, Rothwell Construction assembled the 34-foot tall and 100,000 lb wall panels onsite, then tilted them up with a crane to form the 50,000 square foot office warehouses.
Our President and CEO Preston Rothwell led the project: supervising the installation of the wall panels. Cost estimation, timeline, and risk assessments were part of the process. The warehouse was designed to accommodate LBP’s future needs, including easy customization for partitioning.
The Results
Thanks to the comprehensive plan, Rothwell was able to construct a new office space that not only met their expectations, but exceeded them. The finished product was completed on schedule and within budget, and the sleek design was a hit amongst Lakewood Business Park employees.
